I’m lucky in that I get contacted by women of all sizes, ethnicities, and ages. This beautiful woman is 50 years old and looks amazing. I love that no matter what age beauty can be celebrated and embraced!!

Oh, and yes, those are real Christian Louboutin shoes. Her fiancé spoiled her with a pair so of course we had to include them in the pics!

So here I was with too much on my plate to find time for the gym but vowed as soon as I graduated I would return. As the time of graduation neared I started thinking about what type of exercise I was going to get back into. I had assumed I would simply return to my all-female gym and pick back up with the cardio, weight lifting, and cycling classes I had taken before; however, I had heard about a new type of exercise and decided I was going to try it out first. If I didn’t like it, I would go back to the gym.

So I signed up for this new fitness class at – get this – a dance studio. I was excited and nervous at the same time. When I walked into class I chose the piece of equipment at the back of the room. I stood there shyly wondering how hard this workout was going to be, and how much I’d like it too. After all, the piece of equipment I was going to be using for exercise was a pole.

Stripper pole, vertical pole fitness, pole dancing. Whatever. It’s a pole. It’s used for fitness. It’s used for dancing. The words are all semantics. The bottom line is the workout was one of the craziest intense and physically challenging workouts I’ve had, but the best part? It was FUN!

I’ve not had the desire to renew any gym membership since. I’ve been doing pole fitness for two years now, am in the best shape I’ve ever personally been in, and actually started teaching pole fitness classes earlier this year.

I have a display for my boudoir photography inside the dance studio so naturally it was only a matter of time before I did a shoot for the students. Below is a very small sampling of the beautifully strong, confident, and sexy pole fitness students the studio has in a little slideshow.

Another great thing about choosing Utah Boudoir Photography for your session is that you don’t have to bring 10,000 outfits. Typically there’s enough time for about 3-4 outfit changes within the hour but we can get a lot of fabulous variety with even one panty/bra set! Anyway, I get asked all the time if Utah Boudoir Photography provides hair and makeup. I like to focus on producing the absolute best images for my clients and I’m most skilled as a photographer so the short answer is no, I don’t provide hair/makeup; however, I do refer my clients to one of the best makeup artists in the nation – Carrie Purser. Carrie is not just a cosmetologist with a makeup kit. She’s the real deal, folks. In fact, she did the makeup for Miss New Hampshire in the Miss America Pageant! She has a ton of experience and knows what kind of makeup to use for photographs so your skin looks flawless. Best of all…. [insert dramatic drumroll here] ……she does full body airbrushing!! [cymbal crash]
If that’s not enough, to top things off she comes to my studio and does your hair and makeup here prior to your session. This is super convenient for you and completely stress free (not to mention it ensures your hair won’t get windblown while traveling).

So to kick things off I’m going to share a session where my client hired Carrie for her boudoir session. Below is a before and after image. Not surprising, my client was thrilled with her images and ordered a gorgeous canvas enlargement!

Speaking of gifts, I should mention that I am booked through the end of the year. Yay! And thank you to all my wonderful clients. I am nothing without you.

I love her classic pinup look. So beautifully classic vintage yet with a fun modern twist, don’t you think?

I’m told this last image will make sense if you’re a gamer (which I’m not). But our beautiful model and her sweetie are gamers so she assured me that her bandana would make perfect sense to him and anyone who is into computer games. Me? I think she looks great no matter what the meaning of the graphics, haha.

Obviously I respect my client’s wishes and they’re in total control of what images are shared with you. She opted to remain anonymous by asking me to utilize creative cropping. I loved her hair in this one however and couldn’t bear to crop it out. The solution? Put a cute ribbon over her eyes, haha.
